Our Story

Kitsune Toys has grown from a love of storytelling, hands-on creativity, and community spirit. Inspired by the fox spirit kitsune—a symbol of transformation and playfulness—our brand blends traditional charm with modern imagination.
Kit, our friendly fox mascot, guides you through a world of model kits, kites, and playful adventures. He’s not just a logo—he’s a companion in creativity, cheering you on as you build, fly, and discover.

Rooted in Community

We’re proud to be Australian-owned and community-minded. Every product is chosen with care, every guide written with warmth, and every event designed to bring people together.

Our Process

We create our wooden toy models using high‑quality MDF board sourced from Alpine MDF in Wangaratta. Each design begins on the computer, where patterns are carefully drawn and programmed specifically for 3mm board. This ensures precision and consistency across every piece we produce.

Once the designs are ready, the MDF is cut using a CNC router. This technology allows us to achieve fine detail and accuracy that would be difficult to replicate by hand. After cutting, we produce small batch prints, keeping our production runs limited so that each toy remains unique and true to its handmade character.

Although machines help with the initial shaping, every piece is finished by hand. We sand, smooth, and refine the details to make sure the toys are safe, tactile, and visually appealing. Before packaging, each model undergoes a thorough quality check to confirm strength, finish, and playability. Only after passing these checks are the toys boxed and prepared for market.

We are proud to have a strong presence at local handmade markets, where our stall has become a welcoming space for families, collectors, and curious visitors. By showcasing our models in person, we give customers the chance to see the detail and craftsmanship up close, while also sharing the story behind each piece. Our market involvement is more than just selling toys — it’s about building community connections, supporting local creativity, and offering something unique that stands apart from mass‑produced products.

Our range of models is diverse and designed to spark imagination. From animals and dinosaurs to dollhouses, planes, trains, and vehicles, each piece is carefully crafted to balance playfulness with durability. Whether it’s a child discovering their first wooden toy or a collector adding to their display, our models are made to inspire joy and creativity.

We also believe in standing by the quality of our work. If a customer is not completely satisfied with their purchase, we offer a straightforward returns policy. Items can be returned within a reasonable timeframe provided they are in their original condition. This ensures peace of mind for our customers and reflects our commitment to honesty, care, and lasting value.
